I have been a user of TuneUp Utilities since 2004, and have recommended it to many people since this time. It has always been a rock solid, entirely dependable software product, and one which allows a user to maintain their system easily, and get the best performance possible at all times. Each year I purchase the updated version, and it has always been a top rate product.
However, this year things changed, and surprisingly, this already exceptional product became a lot better. One new feature was added, the real time optimization agent, which tunes the system and individual applications on the fly, depending upon usage. A very cool new addition to an exceptional package. Lets take a quick look at just what TuneUp Utilities contains in the way of features.
- Real time optimization of the operating system and applications, based upon current usage.
- Registry cleaner and defragmenter.
- Recommended system tweaks for optimal performance. This includes startup programs, registry entries and visual performance optimisation.
- Disk space analyzer, which will free up disk space, and defragment.
- Repair utility that will repair common operating system faults with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
- One click maintenance – A service which can be scheduled that performs a complete system check, repair and optimization.
- Visual style, which allows the boot up and login screens to be changed as well as the installation of custom themes and icon packs (freely downloadable from the Tune-up utilities website).
Overall, TuneUp Utilities 2010 is an exceptional product and one which every computer user could benefit from installing.
In its simplest form it will maintain a system automatically, with no user intervention whatsoever once it has been installed. The individual applications are also available to run when required.
